Migrate from Analogue CCTV to Digital – at your own pace.
Migrating to IP from Analogue has never been easier. No longer does this mean wholesale replacement of the system.
Milestone’s Hybrid Husky Network Video Record can support both analogue and IP cameras. This allows you to deploy Full HD IP cameras in desired locations and at the same time retain analogue equipment that is providing satisfactory quality in other locations. As analogue cameras reach the end of their useful life they can then be easily replaced with IP cameras.
USS have recently deployed this technology for a local primary school who needed to expand their system but did not have the funds to carry out a full upgrade. USS were able to deploy Full HD external cameras to address a new requirement and also retain analogue internal cameras that were performing reasonably well. In fact the Hybrid Husky NVR has actually served to improve the quality of image being captured from their analogue cameras.
Milestone Hybrid Husky NVR’s can support up to 32 analogue cameras.
Here are a few of the key reasons for migrating to IP from analogue:
Wider areas of surveillance means one HD network camera can cover the same area as three orfour analogue cameras, delivering significant savings.
Better performance in challenging lighting conditions.
Higher resolution cameras means clearer images for more accurate identification.
Remote or multi-site monitoring enables staffing efficiencies.
Automated surveillance with edge-based analytics opens the door to business planning and marketing applications as well as security.
Integration of surveillance with access control, building management and/or burglar alarm systems delivers a range of efficiency-drivers.
