Complete New Infrastructure for 3 North-Eastern NHS Trusts
In April 2011, we designed a completely new infrastructure for 3 PCTs starting from a brand new forest, new messaging systems and a wholesale replacement of existing anti-virus, security and encryption systems Now the pilot has been installed and performing well, the PCTs are in line to save significantly by using Microsoft services and products that are already included in their E-CAL subscription. Email Upgrades and Modernisation for City Hospitals Sunderland Foundation Trust
In 2009, this trust was still using Exchange 5.5 as the promary e-mail system. Coping with mailbox sizes that the origional designers could not have conceived of was becoming a bigger challange each month as mailboxes grew and corruption began to spread. USS performed two Trust wide mail migrations to bring the trust right up to date with a CCR cluster of resiliant mailboxes and resilient CAS and Hub servers. Read more about this here.
Fibre, Category 6 Cabling and Full Network Infrastructure for Newbuild College and Renovated Old Building
Harton Technology College recently underwent a major upgrade to its building and facilities. A new main building with state of the art technical facilities was followed by the complete refurbishment of the existing building. Newcastle East Area Network
Newcastle City Council approched USS in regards to setting up a wireless network on the East Side of Newcastle in which Nomadic CCTV camers could connect wirelessly and stream images back to a central point here.
